On June 3, 2015 Sedum Master Inc.'s president Greg Magda and office manager and graphic designer Lori Davey spent the afternoon in Toronto at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in hopes of winning the Scotiabank Ecoliving Innovation Award. Although a first place win did not come about, being in the top three in this category for this national award was like being in first place the moment Sedum Master Inc. found out they were a finalist!
"It was the realization that people notice us for what we do, and the hard work and dedication over the years that helped Sedum Master get to this point!", stated Mrs. Davey.
When the press release finally came out (Scotiabank Ecoliving Press Release) there were numerous articles world wide of Sedum Master Inc.'s finalist position for the award which brought great networking and opened numerous new doors. A professional video was done for the award show highlighting Sedum Master Inc. as a finalist.
On June 3, 2015, Greg and Lori made their way to the award show and was wined and dined with other finalists and was entertained by the show's presenter Arlene Dickenson (judge from the tv show Dragon's Den, entrepreneur and Canadian author). Greg and Lori both got to personally meet Arlene and share each other's thoughts and ideas. It made for a great afternoon and Lori even got to take in some exquisite pieces of artwork at the AGO.
Thank you to Scotiabank, Arlene Dickenson and all of our customers, if it wasn't for you and your trust in Sedum Master we couldn't have gotten to this point!
